Cerinte

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in environmental protection, of which at least 2 years in a managerial or coordination role.
• Relevant certifications such as: Certified Environmental Officer (Responsabil de Mediu), Courses in waste management, environmental legislation, or impact assessment (an advantage).
• Advanced knowledge of Romanian environmental legislation
• Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and national reporting platforms (SIM, AFM, ANPM, etc.).
• Familiarity with mandatory environmental reporting requirements, including: AFM (Environmental Fund Administration), ANPM (National Agency for Environmental Protection), National registries/platforms (e.g., SIM, REVISAL).

Responsabilitati

Key Responsibilities:
Managing Environmental Compliance & System Design
• Ensure full compliance with local, national, and European environmental legislation
• Standardize and implement environmental ways of working at national level
• Represent the company in audits and regulatory visits
• Monitor legal and regulatory updates, ensuring timely internal adoption
• Coordinate documentation, permitting, and institutional reporting
• Define local environmental responsibility lines and update internal policies accordingly

Driving Environmental Sustainability Projects
• Oversee and support projects focused on water efficiency, energy reduction, carbon footprint, waste management, and packaging
• Monitor Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions
• Support circular economy initiatives, including recycling and plastic reduction
• Align all local projects with GB’s global Sustainability Strategy

Leading Resource Efficiency & Innovation
• Promote sustainable sourcing of raw materials (regenerative agriculture, traceability)
• Monitor bakery-level resource consumption (energy, water, waste) and validate corrective action plans
• Implement and track innovations related to environmental performance and technology
• Consolidate performance indicators by line and area across plants
• Encourage replication of best practices and knowledge sharing

Developing Culture, Training & Internal Capability
• Deliver technical training and education on sustainability to teams at plant level
• Promote continuous learning through practices exchange and institutional programs
• Support wellbeing and safety initiatives aligned with the work environment strategy
• Foster a culture of transparency, compliance, and shared ownership in sustainability
• Drive the sustainability communication agenda internally and externally

Regarding Other Activities:
• Document and follow up on the replication of sustainability best practices
• Support the assessment and implementation of infrastructure upgrades related to sustainability
• Lead coordination with external partners and NGOs for joint sustainability programs
• Review and interpret sustainability data for decision-making and performance management
• Ensure proper structure and resources for project execution
